Larry, Robbie, Nancy, and Angie: Words can't express how my heart feels right now. I have such wonderful memories from the old "Bruffey Street" days of ministry that we shared with Linda and your entire family. You could ALWAYS count on "Linda and Larry" to be there for anyone, no matter what was going on with them personally.
We have prayed often for Linda and your family even though we have not been in close contact over the last several years. She was an inspiration to me back when I was so young and "green" in ministry. Some of those C.E. Meetings were so long but she always could find something to get a smile on our faces. She always had that smile, a hug, and just her warm personality to share no matter what. A true example of the love of Christ.
I regret that I was unable to attend the viewing or home going service as my school schedule of Christmas performances would not allow.
Just know that you are loved and Linda and your family have influenced our lives in ways words cannot explain.
Our love and prayers,
Joe, Donna, Danielle, Jacob, Tyler, & Kayla

Our prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Though we are sad because we will not have Linda here with us everyday we are so happy for her to finally be at peace and we are rejoicing in her receiving her crown. What a glorious it moment it must have been when she was received home by our Lord, Jesus Christ. All of us have a special angel in heaven looking down on us. We will miss her sweet smile and warm hugs but we know we will see her again one day as will all of you.

My heart is filled with such sadness at the passing of Linda. I hadn't kept in touch with her over the last several years the way I should have and it makes it even harder for me to accept that she is gone and for that I am so sorry. It seems that we all get so busy and so rapped up in our own lives that we forget to take time out to just have a cup of coffee with the special people with whom we share our lives. Linda's passing is a reminder to me of how important it is to take time out for what is most important in life, family and friends. Linda left the greatest legacy that any one possibly could. That is a reminder to always have a smile for everyone, even strangers on the street and laugh as much as you possibly can. She always brightend my day whenever I was lucky enough to run into her somewhere; most recently at one of our granddaughters basketball games. I can't ever remember a time in the 14 years that she and her family were our neighbors that I ever saw her without a smile or laughing no matter whether it was a difficult time or one not so good; she could always find something to laugh about, even when our teenagers were driving us crazy. I think she was the one that helped keep me sane through it all. Linda and her family have been like family to my daughter Tracy and me, and she leaves me with wonderful memories of the years spent together as we watched our children grow up together. I send my love and prayers to all of the Humphrey family as well as special thanks to them all for being such a special part of mine and Tracy's lives over the years.
Linda, even though I didn't get to say good by I know that because of your great faith that you are resting with God and you know that you have had and always will have a warm and special place in my heart. You fought a tremendous battle with courage and grace that I don't think many people could have. I know that God had a special place in his kingdom prepared just for you so rest in peace my friend. You so deserve it.

Linda will always hold a special place in my heart. She truly represents the definition of hero. What enduring courage she displayed. She was surrounded by an awesome husband and children who showed her lots of love and support. As I said about my Grandmother when she passed away this past May: "We've lost an Angel here on Earth but Heaven has gained one."
I love you Larry, Angie, Robbie and Nancy and all the Grandkids.

To Larry and Kids... I want to express my deepest sorrow to you all for the loss of your wife, best friend, mother and everything else she represented to you all. Linda was such a kind-hearted person and I always looked forward to seeing her big smile at the family reunions. She was a joy to talk to and always a positive person, someone who really enjoyed life and the people she loved. My great-grandmother (Helen Humphrey) thought so much of Linda as we all did. I think the hardest thing is letting go, but if you stay with the Lord you know you will see her again. God Bless you all, Lori Gayle Childress
