Deloris Price Obituary

Deloris Ann (Sissy) Price, 63, of Hoges Chapel near Pembroke, Va., departed this life on Sunday morning, December 7, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg. Born in Giles County on April 24, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Cephas and Beulah Gaye Meredith Martin. She was retired from the Celanese Plant at Narrows and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, and a graduate of Giles High School, Class of 1964. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Billy Joe Martin. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Kevin H. Price, of Pearisburg; a stepson Ozzie Price, of Staunton; a stepdaughter, Cindy Price Cipriani, of Rich Creek; a sister-in-law, Eloise C. Martin and family, of Pembroke; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Phyllis Martin, of Richmond; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two beloved granddogs, Sweet and Tessa. Memorial services will be conducted 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 until 7:30 before the services. Online condolences may be sent to kendallfuneralhome.com.

Your mother was such a wonderful, funny, cheerful lady. I recall many memories of her since our parents were great friends (Larry & Betty Hamblin) and when she saw me I always received a HUGE hug and smile. We have lost a wonderful friend.
