Betty and I have been friends for 25 years. I first met her when she was my boss at Dominion Bankshares. She always said I was really the boss but just let her think she was. We developed a friendship then that has grown over the years. We shared so many fun times including exercising, traveling, exploring new places eating, movies, and wine. My sympathy to her family. We have all lost a considerate, caring and fun-loving lady. She touched so many lives and will truly be missed.

I will miss Betty dearly. She was like a mamaw to me. She would take me for walks around the neighborhood so we could get black berries to take home. I am blessed to have known her.

our prayers are with Betty on her Journey and to all of her family for peace and love. Betty and Karen W. made a special trip to NJ to visit with me in the spring...we had a lovely time and will really miss the warmth and support that Betty was able to share with me! It was a great pleasure knowing her and sharing time with her!

I first met Betty and her friend Shirley when they attended my Senior exercise class in Buchanan. We met weekly for over six years and developed a personal friendship that continued beyond the class. We were both extremely fond of our cats. Betty and I flew to NYC in March of this year to visit a mutual friend from our exercise class, and we had a marvelous weekend. I will never forget her smiling face and her generous, loving nature. Betty, I know you have now been reunited with Lee and all the other friends, family, and kitties you have loved. Be happy and at peace, with love...

We will miss Betty's smileing face as she was gathering up our fruit bowls to take to friends or someone special recovering from an illness. Our thoughts and prayers are with her families and friends. Our God needed Betty in heaven more so than on earth. Her task here was fulfilled.

It is with great sadness, that I read of Betty's death. She was a wonderful volunteer for many years at the Roanoke Valley Chapter American Red Cross. She provided many dedicated hours and we always knew we could count on Betty whenever needed. I am honored and blessed to have met and known Betty.

I have known Betty since our high schools days at William Byrd in Vinton. Beneath her quiet and unassuming demeanor was a very giving and caring spirit. She was easy to talk with and being with her was a pleasure for anyone. She made friends easily and had a Christ like love for everyone. She will be missed by her classmates and all those who knew her.
