To Granny Brodie Family,
I was saddened to hear about her passing and also missed not being able to come to the wake or funeral due to my health problems.
In October '07,I was at Martinsville Speedway for practice and qualifying and it was raining off and on ,I wasn't going to hang around for the late qualifying,so I headed up to Greyson Street and she just happened to be there with Brenda, then I found out that she had already moved.
She knew who I was and at age 97,I was amazed at her also.We talked over memories and also what was going on in our lives at the present time,it was a great visit for 2 hours with her and Brenda that I will cherish and never forget.
She was my favorite babysitter, even though I didn't sleep too well at naptime, and she knew I wasn't asleep, also enjoyed lint from blankets and had trouble going downnstairs to basements because of the loud water pump at my Grandma and Grandpa Bowles's house,I eventually overcome that.
Love you Granny Brodie and will never forget you.
