I met Curtis in Fairhaven and he cut my hair for a number of years. We were both born and raised in Virginia. My brother made a trip by car to Virginia with Curtis. I was always happy to talk with him. I am sorry for your loss.

To the Cecil family,

I was very saddened by the news of your dad's passing. My deepest condolences to your entire family, but know in your hearts that he touched the lives and hearts of so many and left them with fond memories.

I saw him almost daily when he would walk over to Little Bay to pick up his newspaper, and he always had a smile on his face, and a good morning greeting.

In 1977 my husband was hospitalized for over 5 months, and once or twice a week your dad would visit him and trim his beard and hair, and would not take any payment for his work. Also, my three sons had their hair cut by him for many years, and he was always patient with them, even though they could be very trying at times, when they were little boys.

He will be missed by many; I know I will miss him greatly. He was a wonderful man.

He was always a gentleman.
In all the time I knew him, he presented himself with dignity and never spoke ill of others. He loved his family and took pride in their lives. Simply put:he was a good man.
He will be missed and remembered.
