Wylma Marshall Obituary

Wylma Jane Harper Marshall, 72, of Bedford, died Friday, December 12, 2008, at her residence. She was born in Caney Springs, Tenn., on May 2, 1936, a daughter of the late Jesse Johnson Harper and Maggie Williams Harper. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Thomas Harper. She is survived by her husband of forty years, Edward Arthur (Ned) Marshall; three sisters, Jean and Jake Harris, Lewisburg, Tenn., Ruth and Ralph Lambert, Cartersville, Ga., Peggy and Leamon Largen, Smyrna, Tenn.; a brother, Bobby Lee Harper, Smyrna, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 695, Bedford, Va. 24523. A funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Becky Crites and the Rev. G. Thomas Mustard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside in the Parish House. Arrangements by BurchMessier Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 317 W. Main St., Bedford, 586-7360.
