Carl Cauley Obituary

Carl Thomas Cauley, 74, of Boones Mill, died peacefully at his home following a courageous battle against cancer. Carl was born February 7, 1934. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearly S. Cauley; his mother and father, George G. and Mary T. Cauley; and a brother, Willie Cauley. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn C. and David A. Brown, Sr.; one granddaughter and her husband, Pamela A. and Steven Chitwood; also his great-granddaughter, Olivia Madelyn Chitwood. Also surviving are his sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth Mauk, Lydia Bell and Todd Gills; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Doshie Cauley; numerous nieces, nephews, special friends and his best friends, Buddy, Lady, Red and Gale. Funeral services will be conducted from Boones Mill Church of the Brethren 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Robert Miller, the Rev. Curtis English and the Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank his caregivers, Linda Jones, Thalia Altice, Nancy Harris and the services of Carilion Hospice of Franklin County and Roanoke Valley. Also the wonderful neighbors and church friends who surrounded him with prayer and faith. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity. His family will be receiving friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.

Carolyn,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I knew Pearly and Carl along time. I know Carl was happy and at peace when he saw his beloved Pearly standing at those Peary gates waiting on him.
It was my pleasure to get to be with them at Pheasant Ridge.
