Audrey Horsley Obituary

Audrey Jean Horsley, 79, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2008. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Rice; brothers, James (Ham) Rice, Joseph (Joe) Rice; sisters, Martha Katherine Rademacher, Helen (Dolly) Ridgeway and Annie Mae Varcak; and one son, John Carroll Horsley. She is survived by brothers, John T. Rice, of Vinton; sister, Elizabeth Rice, also of Vinton; and a brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Joyce Rice, of Grand Blanc, Mich. Her surviving children are, Danny Horsley, of Roanoke, Terry and Molly Horsley, of Vinton, Gary Horsley, of Gainesville Fla., Jesse (Randy) and Dottie Horsley, of Kissimmee Fla.; daughter, Judy Smith, of Rocky Mount Va.; also ten cherished grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends are left to carry on in her absence. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday December 17, 2008, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, the Rev. Ronnie K. Morris will officiate, interment will follow at the Lithia Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please choose a favorite charity in her memory. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 982-2100.

Terry I am so sorry to hear about your Mother.; I usually look on the computer but seems like I have been so busy lately. I would have been there for you all . I really will miss her very much.
