William Bernard Mason Jr.

William Mason Obituary

William (Bill) Bernard Mason Jr. passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008, in Plano, Texas. He was born February 16, 1936, in Meadow View, Va. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Houser Mason; and parents, William Bernard Mason Sr. and Irene Browning Mason. Bill graduated from Eagle Rock High School and attended Virginia Tech. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from Lockheed Martin. Bill resided in Sanger until having complications from Alzheimer's. He enjoyed flying. A special thanks to Cindy Cole and staff at Silverado Plano, Leroy Howe and Company and Missy Rainey with County Probate Court. Services will be held at a later date in Virginia. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Kevin Connolly; and two grandsons, Shea Troxell and Ciaran Connolly. Also surviving are two brothers, Douglas B. Mason and wife, Sylvia, and James P. Mason and a number of nieces and nephews.

Bernard was my first and best friend. 7th and 8th grade at Enid school, Enid, Ms. We were of one mind and spirit. We were the "two Musketeers.
