Gladys Cundiff Obituary

Gladys Arlyn Alger Cundiff, 73, of Vinton, Va., passed away on Monday, January 12, 2009. She was born on February 7, 1935, the daughter of the late John Westley Alger and Myrtle May Maubry Williams. Her husband, Oliver Davis (O.D.) Cundiff; and her son, Steven Ray Hawkins; preceded her in death. Surviving is her daughter, Lisa C. Goldstone, of Hillsborough, N.J.; and three sisters, Myrtle Cason, of Staunton, Va., Greta Bruce, of Waynesboro, Va., and Evelyn Wyant, of Elkton, Va. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2009, at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Harry Leland officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel.
