Peggy Parker Obituary

Peggy Alreada Underwood Parker, 68, of Ferrum, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Preceding Peggy in death were her parents, Pled and Myrtle Bernard Underwood; sisters, Ophelia Jones and Estelle Hale; and brothers, Jim, Robert, Debo, Clarence and Raymond Underwood. Surviving to cherish her memory are husband, William "Bill" Parker; children, Paul A. Perrault Jr. and wife, Joanne, Janie Gould and husband, King, and Michelle Wombold and husband, Jamie; grandchildren, Jennifer Gould, Mary Lu Gould, Nikki Underwood, Nataile Schmitt, Blake Schmitt, Paul William Perrault, Ashley Wombold and Braydon Wombold; greatgrandchildren, Scarlett Underwood, Chance Smith and DeAndre Townes; sisters, Thelma Furrow, Beverline Gibson and Mary Adkins; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members. A memorial service celebrating Peggy's life will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2009, from the chapel of Lynch Funeral Home with Father Ralph Frye officiating.
