Word of David's passing left me with sense of profound sadness. Even though I knew David as a child, I didn't really get to know him until later in his life. When driving from Pilot to Christiansburg, if I ever saw David in need of a ride I would always pick him up and would help out in any way I could. There was just something about him that I felt a real bond with. It was obvious to me that David had a good heart. I loved and accepted him for who he was and that was a child of God. May he now find rest and peace with his Lord and God bless his family in this time of sorrow.

Family,

I was so sorry to hear about David's passing. He would come to our church (Greater Mount Zion) next door from time to time for our church services and revivals. I know that David knew and loved the Lord. He will be missed.

I had the priviledge of meeting David 4 years ago and he always had a smile. David enjoyed the simple things in life and lived life to the fullest. "Huffy" will be missed in Christiansburg.
