Harold Ball Obituary

Harold Ray Ball, of Vinton, born on December 7, 1931, in Huntington, W.Va., died Saturday, January 24, 2009. He was the son of the late Jake and Anna Ball, of Huntington, W.Va. He "loved his girls-all 3": wife of 54 years, Patsy E. Ball; daughters, Ramona Ball Flint, Greensboro, Katrina Ball (Richard) Dunlap, Chesterfield; grandchildren, Charissa Flint, Hilary Flint, Tyler Dunlap and Spencer Dunlap; brothers, Gene (Jackie) Ball, Alum Creek, W.Va., Donald (Jackie) Ball, Proctorville, Ohio; sisters, Gladys Smith, Proctorville, Ohio, Genevieve Lyon, Huntington, W.Va., Shirley Smith, Wooster, Ohio. Harold retired from Appalachian Power Company with 44 years of service. He was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene in Huntington, W.Va. and Roanoke, Va. He was also a member of Epworth UMC, Moneta, Va. (1993-2003). Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. George Stevenson, and the Rev. Ron Graham officiating. The interment will be private at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.
