Virginia Akers Myers

Virginia Akers Myers, 92, of Christiansburg, Va., went to join her beloved husband, Malcolm (Mike) Myers, on Monday, January 26, 2009. She was born on May 7, 1916. She and her husband owned and operated Myers Cash Market in Christiansburg for many years. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a very good friend, Arlene Houchins, of Christiansburg. The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31, 2009, from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2009, in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Steve Akers and the Reverend Leon Alley officiating. The family requests no graveside services held due to the weather.
