Steve and Robbie,
Our hearts go out to both of you in this time of sorrow. Your mother was a very strong and courageous woman. Her inner strength and determination is also embedded in each of you. Just imagine how proud she will be knowing that her sons have bonded closer to each and more important to God during this very difficult time.
In closing, just know that if you need anything from us, we are only a phone call away.

Robbie & Steven - You probably won't remember me; your beautiful Mom was my legal assistant back in the 1980's when you were both still fairly young, and your grandma was still going strong. Your Mom was "Barbie" to me from the beginning, so loving & affirming. She would have an express-do not pass go- pass to Heaven. I can't summon the poetry which Pat Grisetti used in her Guest Book entry (so truly from the heart), but I can say that you were so fortunate to have such a pure & loving being as your Mother - such a gift. I send prayers & love your way as you grieve her tender loss.

Barbara and I are members of the close-knit LAHS Class of 1968, but our friendship goes back much further, to old Northeast, when we would walk to elementary (Gilmer) school every morning. My heart hurts, Barbie. But I realize, as I saw last night’s sunset, after days of cold, darkness, clouds and rain, the clouds briefly parted and there was a sunset of such brilliant magnitude often not seen. Your first day in heaven. I knew it was your way of telling me, “. . .it’s okay, I’m fine now . . .Don’t you be crying over me - Be happy for me!” Not many people come into our lives and impact us the way you did mine. I will forever remember and love you.
