I know this is years later but I think of Rachel often and I wanted her family to know she is not forgotten. I went to Point Loma with Rachel during her short time there. I would often go hang out in her room where we would talk and she would no doubt make me laugh. She had such a gentle spirit and was wise beyond her years. Her faith was so strong and I remember she would often go sit in her car to listen to sermons. She certainly had a heavenly perspective always. I could tell her soul was deep and complex and getting to know her was a gift. I saw her after college once when she was in town and then years later she came to mind when I woke up one day. I looked her up and was heartbroken to hear of her passing. I still think of her often and pray for her family as I know grief lasts a lifetime. I look forward to the day when we can reunite in Heaven and I take peace knowing she is with Jesus, the one she so deeply loved and cherished.

To Ruth, and the family and friends of Rachel:
I only met Rachel a few times when she was a child, and was visiting Ruth from California, but I know how much Ruth loved Rachel and I can only imagine how much Rachel is missed. Ruth, may you be comforted in this time of loss by the memories of good times together and by the knowledge that you did everything you could for Rachel throughout her life. Ruth, may your kind and giving ways help to provide peace for you in this time of loss. Please contact me if there is anything I can do for you.
Always,
Bob, Beti, Niki & Stevi Hom

Rachel...beautiful inside and out, always with a smile and a kind word. 1 Peter 2 reminds us that people are observing our lives, that we should be a good representative of Jesus Christ. You did this exceedingly well Rachel. Keeping your family in our prayers. In His Love,

Anyone who knew Rachel was touched by her kindness. In her presence you knew you were closer to God. Rachel's heart was so big and her love for Christ was so magnificant that anyone who knew Rachel was better for it. I thank God for allowing Rachel to touch our lives the way she did. Rachel my dear it is impossible for us to think of you as gone, as your memory will live with us all forever. We will see you again and oh what a party it will be!

I haven't seen Rachel in years but I played basketball with her my freshman year of High School and then my freshman year of college she was my covenant group leader. I remember she introduced me to the joys of frozen yogert. She was such a sweet, loving person, and although I really didn't know her that well, she will be missed very much!

I met Rachel at Calvary Chapel, and she was one my best friends all through high school. I really wish I could have seen her one more time, and tell her how much I love her. I will never forget the sleep overs with apple cider and pancakes, beach days, rowing her boat in the rain while singing, and "off roading" in her little toyota :) She was such a good listener, had the best sarcasm(so funny), and was always there for the people she loved. I hope she knew how much we all loved her. I can't even imagine the pain her family is going through, and I will keep you guys in my prayers. I'm trying to find peace in knowing that she is with Jesus now, I know she had an amazing relationship with Him, and I think even through this sad time, her life has been a great witness for Him. Can't wait to see you again one day, Rachel, I already miss you :)

Rachel...where to begin, Rachel and I grew up together, she was my best friend. I had the priviledge of sharing many wonderful years with Rachel, I thank God for the wonderful memories that we shared together. Rachel was beautiful both inside and out she always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye, she had the gift of making someone feel loved and acepted no matter who you were. Rachel was strong in her faith, always shaing with other of her love for her heavenly Father, wanting others to love Him as well. We will all miss Rachel, in the past couple of days I have had visions of Rachel in heaven, dancing, laughing, singing, sitting in her heavenly Father's lap, happier than I have ever seen her.
I know this broke the "two line rule" (if a card was longer than two lines, we didn't read it) and though there was much more I could have said, I will leave it at this, Good bye my beloved friend, I love you, I will miss you so much, give everyone there my love, and Rachel I will see you again soon.
Love your friend, Mary Lynn

Rachel was a classmate of our twin sons Peter and Andrew at Calvary Chapel High School. She was so sweet. What a lovely girl! We are praying for the family and friends of Rachel. May the God of all comfort bring the peace that passes all understanding, as He holds you by His right hand at this time of great loss. (God has comforted me in times of loss with these: Matt.28:6, 2 Cor.1:2-7, Is.41:10, 13.)

I also had the opportunity to play basketball with Rachel at Calvary Chapel, and also go on a Philippines Missions trip my sophomore year with Rachel and our high school team. It was truly an honor and a blessing to be on the same team with her. She always had kind words to say and a loving heart, I still remember Rachel with that big smile of hers. I look forward to seeing Rachel and her big smile in Heaven. My family and I are keeping your family in our prayers.
