Wallace Alfred Roope

Wallace Alfred Roope, 84, of Rocky Mount, Va., passed away on Friday eve, February 13, 2009. He retired from Anchor Motor Freight with over 20 years service. Surviving are his wife, Martha Roope; his three daughters, Ronda Osborne, of BelAir, Md., Linda Brown, of Westfield N.J., Donna Roope, of California; one son, Michael Roope, of Rocky Mount. Grandchildren, Lisa (Eric) Schwartz, Jeffrey Osborne, Hannah Roope, Hollie Roope, Charles Brown, Matthew Brown, Heather Brown, Ricky Greely, Renee Greely; two sisters, Gertrude Thomas, Margaret Garlick. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial.
