Florence Esther Fredin

Florence Esther Fredin, 87, of Lexington, Va., died Saturday, February 21, 2009, in Kendal of Lexington. Born in Leola, S.D. on December 12, 1921, a daughter of the late Harold C. Baumgartner and Ida Yost Baumgartner. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Dale C. Fredin Sr. and one grandson, Jeffrey L. Cox. She is survived by four sons, Curt Fredin and Skip Hess, of Lexington, David Moore and Doug Smith, of Covington; one daughter, Judi Cox (Buster), of Middletown, Ohio; five grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Fredin was a member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church. Contributions may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, Va. 24450. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009, at the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. William Klein officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
