Marita Kast Turman Whitlock

Marita Kast Turman Whitlock, 57, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 at her home in Christiansburg. She was a member of the Tower of Refuge Church in Dublin. Survivors include her husband, James E. Whitlock, Christiansburg; daughter, Valerie Richards, Floyd; son, Scott Turman, Radford; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis and Linda Kast, Christiansburg and Glenn and Cheryl Kast, Riner; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Imogene and Elwood Barker, Riner, Bonita and Timmy Harrison, Floyd, Doris Stafford, Blacksburg, Frances and Sam Hinkley, and Virginia and Roger Harman, all of Christiansburg; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford, with the Rev. Glennard Quesenberry and the Rev. Cecil Albano officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Carilion Hospice, 700 Randolph Street, Suite #251, Radford, Va. 24141.
