Jeff, Kathryn & Kristin,
How sad I was to hear the news of Justin. I last saw him the year he graduated. He was such a warm, polite and mannerly young man. Of course that was because of the great job you did as parents and Ida King (Granny) did keeping him when he was little. She bragged on Justin and Kristin every time I talked with her. She helped to guide all of us. I did get to visit with Kristin when I was home in October while visiting Ida. She is absolutely beautiful and such a charming young lady.
I can only imagine your pain. Please know that I am one of the many, who have you in my thoughts and prayers. May God Bless each of you.

I know that we will never begin to understand why this accident happened but God had a reason and his plan for us is perfect even when we don't understand it. Kathryn, we have shared so many stories over the years as our kids have grown up, both good and bad. You have much to be proud of - Justin was fine young man with a good heart and he loved you, Jeff and Kristin very much! Always cherish the memories that you all had together and keep them close to your heart! I can't even begin to imagine the pain that you are going through right now but I am praying that God will ease your pain and help you get through this. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Jeff, Kathryn, Kristen and families,
No bond is as great as that between a parent and child and while it is customary for children to bury their parents, sometimes God has other plans. God now has a new Angel. What has happened can never be changed, and we don’t understand why it happened. But we can always remember that there can never be enough truly good people on this earth as Justin was and to lose one like him so young hurts us all. The quickness of his untimely death makes us realize that everyday is precious and those of us who have lost touch with each other need to renew those friendships often. We can only hope that each of us learns to live life to its fullest as he did, taking the time to live, laugh, love and help our fellow man when the need arises.
Our sorrow is so dreadful, yet we can only imagine yours. There's nothing that we can say to ease the pain your family is feeling and our hearts ache for you as ours did for ourselves with the tragic passing of our precious and young Bradley in 2000. The word sadness doesn't begin to convey our emotions. Words are useless and words can't take away the pain. We sincerely hope that your time of grieving will be brief. With time, healing will begin, but you will never get over this tragedy. We know that your memories of Justin will be eternal, and although you won’t be able to see him any longer, the wonderful memories you have of him in your hearts will keep him with you forever. Memories are something no one can take from you.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time and that your family is being kept in the kindest of thoughts. Our prayers are for strength, comfort and peace now and in the days and years to come. He will be greatly missed, but is a great addition to those already in their heavenly home.
Godspeed Justin, save us a seat!
Death leaves a heartache
no one can heal.
Love leaves a memory
no one can steal.
With love and sympathy,
Benjamin Leighton

One of my fondest memories of Justin is when he and Gabrielle were in the 3rd grade. They decided that they were going to walk home from school. When the teacher turned her back, off they went, down the hill into Bland. We are so lucky that Katherine just happened to be driving up the hill. There are many memories in my heart. My prayers are with Jeff and Katherine and family.

Jeff & Kathryn,
I know there aren't words to ease your pain. The loss of a child has to be the worst pain on this earth. My heart aches for you and your family. I can, in no way, begin to understand your pain, but, I can pray that God will send you peace and heal your pain over time. We cannot always understand "Why", but just know that God is in control. You will be in my prayers.
Love & prayers in Christ,

My thoughts and prayers go out to Justin's family and friends. I am fortunate to have worked with Justin on many occasions and feel his loss deeply. Justin is a wonderful person and someone I count among the few good people in this world. I'm sorry to hear about this, but I'm looking at it this way. Another angel has found his wings and is making heaven a safer place.
