John Noblett Obituary

John M. Noblett, 82, of Lexington, Va., died Wednesday, February 25, 2009, in Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital. He was born March 20, 1926, in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Glen and Bertha Wilcher Noblett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Leona Hunter; a brother, Carl; and one grandson. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Noblett, of Lexington; daughter, Patricia Havenstrite and husband, Robert; one son, Earnest Noblett, all of Arkansas; a sister, Mandy Hodges, of Natural Bridge Station; four grandchildren, Jake and Jesse Noblett, Pamela Havenstrite, and Jennifer Duncan; and special family friends, Susie and Buck Huffman. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Claude Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2009, at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Va.
