Ethel Fix Barger

Ethel Fix Barger, 91, of Buena Vista, Va., died Sunday, March 1, 2009, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born May 3, 1917, in Lexington, a daughter of the late Roy M. and Nannie Armstrong Fix. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Barger. Surviving are three sons, Ray M. Barger, of California, Robert W. Barger, of North Carolina, and R. Keith Barger, of Buena Vista; six grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Pastor Hunter Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at 2057 Maple Ave., Buena Vista, Va.
