Iva Edwards Obituary

Iva Frost Edwards began her earthly life by the will of God and unto Him she has returned. She passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2009, at Richfield Recovery and Care Center in Salem, Va. She was born on May 12, 1906, to the late Wilburn T. and Norah Alderman Lineberry in Carroll County, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Graham J. Frost; and later her husband, Early E. Edwards. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruby Ann and Dr. Andrew Farrar, of Salem, Va.; one brother, John C. Lineberry, of Baltimore, Md.; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Lineberry, of Blue Springs, Miss.; granddaughter and husband, Elizabeth and Mykl Egan, of Richmond, Va.; greatgranddaughter, Alison Egan, of Richmond, Va.; stepdaughters and husbands, Sue and Y.B. Hall, Dean and Charlie Nixon, all of Woodlawn, Va.; stepsons and wives, Billy and Joella Edwards, Frank and Leila Edwards, all of Galax, Va.; five step grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009, in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Iva's name to your favorite charity. Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, Va., is serving the family.
