Sally was a dear freind of mine for many years.I'm just sorry I wasn't able to go to her funeral, because I was down in north carolina and didn't hear about it until after she was buried and I'M very sorry for that

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Sally's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to her loved ones. I fondly remember many hours Sally and I spent together at Courtside back in the early 1980's. We had such a blast running the snack shop for a while. We were among the first females at Courtside to venture into the world of weight lifting! Brings back many good memories. I know she will be missed by many.

Sally was a special cousin with a great smile and personality to match. Loved those dimples! Sally was just a year older but seemed so cool, probably because she was pretty and lived in Va. She was witty and fun and I will miss her.

To the family of Sally Markham Tinsley...
Sally was a great person and I am saddened to hear of her death. I'm glad I got to know her. I knew Sally as I worked with her at WYYD from 1997-1999, though, I haven't seen her in years. Sally was a warm person, so funny - she had an infectious laugh - and made a person feel very comfortable in her presence. She was a hoot! I will always have fond memories of her. Sally's "up there" with Nan who also worked at WYYD. I'm sure they're "laughing it up" right about now.
God bless you all... Fran

Sally and I became friends when we both worked at WYYD. And what a wonderful friend. Never without a smile, never without a helping hand, never without a shoulder to lean on. Spur of the moment we went up to Wintergreen to see a band and spend a weekend. I have never had so much fun and laughter in one weekend. Many, many bands and promotions with WYYD. Many meals and stories shared. And definitely had a love for her kids. I will miss my friend. And I will say prayers for her kids and hope they will follow in her footsteps with a love for humanity, kindness and smiles for everyone and love of life and laughter . Have good memories of your Mom. I know I will.

Sally has always been a fixture in my life although there has been a lot of miles between us. I was the younger cousin who thought she was perfect. Sally and Buddy visited us several times when I was a teenager and some of my best memories were of Sally, Gary, Buddy and me hanging out at Ma Ma's house, going to Willy's Hofbrau Haus in Valdosta, and driving through the dip! What I remember most about Sally, though, was she loved us very much. And, of course, no one will ever have better dimples.

I love you, Sally, and already miss you very much.

Steve
