Julie Taylor Obituary

Julie Grubb (JuJu) Taylor, 57, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009. She was born April 16, 1951, and was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta Slusher. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Santi Grubb; and grandchildren, Makayla and Khalil Grubb. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Alan Grubb, Gary Grubb, John and Rhonda Grubb, Tony Grubb, Terri and Kevin Thomas, and Bobbi Poff; and many beloved nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her dear friends, Eddie Taylor, and Pat and Gayle. Services will be held noon on Friday, March 6, 2009, at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Avenue. Dr. William Booth will officiate. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2009. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.

I am so sorry to read about the passing of Julie. I haven't seen her for a while but she worked here at Grand for sometime and she was a very sweet person. I know she adored her grandchildren. My prayers go out to her family.
