Kameelah this is so late and i apologize for not making it to see your homecoming to the Lord. You and I ran track together and you always use to tell me that I was doing "Too much" I was running track for Ruffner and for Fleming as an 8th grader. You stuck by me when the practices got tough. You will be missed now and forever more...

I have known Kameelah for many years---way back in the day from being called Kay-Kay in Ferncliff running around outside dancing around and playing double dutch with Libra, Robin, Shae, Tasha, —and the list goes on…not to leave out times when she was down in Indian Village ---and throughout the years of high school….

Kameelah was truly a great friend—though years separated us and time went by we never forgot who each other was and when seen we took time to acknowledge the other—but for the last 10 years of my life –Kameelah has been right there a TRUE friend in a real UNIQUE way—we had a one of a kind friendship---she was truly a genuine person….its nothing we couldn’t talk about and seemed like nothing we didn’t agree on…We had a lot of plans before us this year and the days ahead—I never once thought that none of it would be possible ---This all happen so sudden—I am still trying to understand—but as I have grown spiritually I have learned to never question God and know he makes no mistakes –Kameelah was ripe and ready to be picked!! God knows his angels –she was definitely one…

My girl was a DIVA AKA Black Barbie some would call her—looking at her pictures cant you see why—my girl had a smile to light up a room —she had class---what a trendsetter –she was a person when I see her I knew without a doubt my girl was rocking a nice do (kept her hair done) …wearing something FLYY…..and do I not need to even mention the shoes and the bags to compliment it!!!! DIVA---she so fit the title

D-dedicated –she was so committed to being there for her sister/family and friends—and not to mention dancing—the girl was so talented—I know you have seen them 2 sisters somewhere dancing and they could dance circles around ya (so swift and agile)

I-Independent—she was a go getter she didn’t tend to rely on others—if her mind was set to it and her heart desired it she went after it

V- Victorious –she is a winner—she knew and accepted Christ in her life—she won the struggle before her—she fought to the very end—she defeated the enemy and she has fulfilled her works and gotten her wings into the kingdom of heaven

A-Anointed—as I have mentioned she was truly anointed with the talent and gift to dance---and she used it and didn’t sit down on it

Though Kameelah will be missed all just remember she is in no more pain she is free she is dancing in GLORY!! Jameelah and Bria—other family and friends know she is looking down upon us and would want nothing but the best for us---Jameelah as I have told you time after time if there is anything and I mean that big or small that I can do for you let me know!! I am here for you in the days months and even years ahead!!

Lastly---for us who want to see Kameelah again and many other loved ones let’s get it right –as most should already know no man knows the day or the hour---God is waiting for each of us with open arms no one has been asked to be perfect but what better time than now to start working towards what God has for us and being prepared (over the years I have experienced many great losses some family and others friends) and the majority have been YOUNG—if you didn’t know by now death doesn’t have an age attached ---give those ABCs some thought –ACCEPT BELIEVE AND CONFESS—No one said it would be easy but it is definitely worthwhile in the long run—we don’t have time to wait and play around and get it right –tomorrow could be your day—know and believe that HEAVEN and HELL is real!!

Kameelah I love you girl and always will you will be missed but never forgotten!!!! Our memories I will always cherish!!

To Jameelah, Kerry and family

I was blessed to make aquaintance with Kameelah 3 years ago as she dance into my life at the Temple. She graced the stage with such poise and grace as she ushered the Lord into our services. We would always share smiles and small talk of her style and beauty each Sunday that she pressed her way. She shared with me a treasure that all of the other ladies in the church want... a Coach bag like none other. I will treasure my bag and my video memories of her annoited praise dances. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Our hearts and condolences go out to the family during this sad event. Jameelah,
I have let so much time past me by but as I tell myself I have never had friends like any of you ( Tity, Kameelah, Nikki). I have never been able to surround myself with the true friendship that I had found in each and every one of you. We have all grown in our own special ways that makes us who we are. Even though we have lost contact for some years the thought of you all still remained. It is important that when you find true friends that you keep in touch because we never know when God is ready for any us. We can all say that Kameelah is in a better place right now watching over us. I just wish that I could have seen her smile and laugh one last time. Seeing her picture all I see is the two of you side by side, the inseparable. No one will ever be able to take the place of Kameelah because that is a part of you that will always remain. Remember the good times, laugh, smile, and even cry but always know that you are never alone. Your children are a blessing and all things happen for a reason, so yes, I do agree that they were put in your life to serve a good and powerful purpose. As we grow we learn to never question God’s work so as you mourn, celebrate her life as well because I’m sure she lived a good life as she was a good person.

Words can not express the pain I feel in my heart for the loss of such a wonderful person. Kameelah was "real", she loved everyone the same and no matter her circumstances she was a soldier and always shined on top. She is marching in God's army now and shining brighter than ever! It was a pleasure knowing and growing up with her. I am blessed to have been made me apart of her life, even though it was brief. Jameelah, I love you. You are not alone! Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray strength and mercy for you and your family as you get through this extremely difficult time.

J,
There are no words that could heal your pain at this most difficult time. I truly believe that god blessed you with your children as some from of comfort for those that were dear to your heart but taken from this earth at such and early point in your life. I know that K was was your other half through thick and thin. I don't have any siblings but you, K, Niki, and Rhonda were the sisters my mother didn't give to me but the ones that God blessed me with. We have so many good memories from the sleepovers for any and every reason, to the rides to anywhere that we would get piled up in a car, and in it the best way we could- literally. Over the years we have move in seperates ways but the love for one another never moved from our hearts. When ever you need a friend we are only a call away do not hesitate to call. If there is any way I can be there for you, not just now but whenever, just let me know. I love you like a sister. Stay strong.

March 9, 2009

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Were do I start...You and I had an interesting relationship. We didnt always see eye to eye on everything and we had our differences but thru the Blood of Jesus and thru the Love that we shared, we were able to put all the "small" things behind us and were able to focus on the "big" things in life. I am so bless to know that you and I became closer before God called you home. I will forever cherish the memories that you left here on Earth. You got your WINGS and now your DANCING like you NEVER DANCED BEFORE!!

I want to wish the family my condolences on losing such a special person, she touched many people with personality and touched many hearts with her dance, she touched me when I saw her one night, she gracefully danced for God and I knew it was so sincere, and something she was doing from the heart, we can now say she is dancing for our Heavenly Father in heaven and bringing such joy to him in person.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
