On Your First Year in Heaven
Oh, how can time be standing
at bay?
Since that dreaded fateful day
Gathered by your bed we watched you quietly slip away
It has been one long year today.
We can only imagine God's sweet face
When you finally reached Heavens Gate
And it's just like you so full of grace
That all the angels were there for this special date.
A piece of our hearts were taken with you
But your memories were left for us too
Missing you each and every day
Makes us wonder how to go
our way
However, we know your peace and love are with us to stay.
Will our hearts ever mend?
Not seeing your sweet smile at each days end
All our love to you we send
Until the day, we joyfully meet again
