J. Carroll Fink

J. Carroll Fink, 85, of Roanoke United Methodist Home, Roanoke, Va., devoted husband of Ruth K. Fink for 64 years, died on Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Lewis Gale Hospital, Salem, Va. Carroll was predeceased by his parents, the Rev. Charles W. and Ellen H. Fink; and brother, the Rev. Dr. Harold H. Fink. Survivors include a daughter, Penny Fink Schweitzer and husband, Daniel, of Quinton, Va.; daughter-in-law, Jeane S. Fink, of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren, Shawn S. Ploe, Jarod Fink, Christie F. Kilduff, Jason Schweitzer, and Shannon Jerrett; six great-grandchildren; brother, the Rev. Dr. Wm. Jeryl Fink, of Richmond; and a number of nieces and nephews. Carroll was a minister of the Virginia United Methodist Conference and with his wife, Ruth, and served over 40 years in ministry. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. at Southview United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 12, 2009. The family will receive friends following the service.
