Joe Brewer Obituary

Joe C. Brewer Sr., 73, of Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009. He was born in Roanoke County on January 29, 1936. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Willie and Cola Mae Brewer, daughter, Regina A. Brewer, four brothers and one sister. Joe is survived by his faithful wife of 50 years, Rowena Stone Brewer; son and daughter-in-law, Joe Jr. and JaCynthia; sister, Ellada Bundick; seven sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. The interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. Friends may call on Monday afternoon for viewing at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
