Mary, Mike, Cheryl, and Dee Dee,
I have mixed emotions after hearing about Ellis. I am sad because a really great guy is no longer with us. He will be missed. I remember going to church with him and playing softball together. I enjoyed being around him. We had a great time together. When I think of my time at Gethsemane, you all are at the head of my list of favority people. I also am a little jealous of him. He is in the presence of our Lord, and in his glorified body. I know that he is ready for a softball game and ready to tell about the time when... God bless you and His grace will be sufficient for the hurt. You are very special people who have made an impact in many lives.
In Christ's love,
Ed Roop

My prayers are with you and your family at this time, but I know you will cherish his memory forever. Would love to be with you at this time of sorrow, but God called him home and you can always know he's walking on the streets of gold and you will see him again.

Do not stand by my grave and weep
~~~~~by:Mary Frye in 1932~~~~~
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!)
Danieley family, what terrible news. So very sorry to hear about Ellis. He was such a nice man and a very good softball coach. Took a "bunch" of losers to second in state. May god bless you all.
Mike, I was very sorry to hear about your Dad. I have some fond memories of Ellis back in the "old" softball days. Whether playing with him or against him in city or church league and w/e tournaments, it was always alot of fun because the way he played really inspired all of us. I think he always made the teams he played on better because everyone could see how much he loved to just be out there with everybody. Over the last several years, I ran in to him and your mom around town several times and really enjoyed reminscing with them both about those days. He will be missed. My condolences to you, Mary and the rest of the family.
My deepest condolences to the family. I remember Ellis from church some years ago. He also played ball with/ and against my brother (Ed Roop) in different leagues. I do remember that he was a person that cared about everyone.
To his family, Mary you were such a inspiration to me, you cared about everyone like your husband did. I have thought often about the people that I once went to church with. I know that God will take care of you and the family. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
My Dear Friend Mary, Dee Dee, Cheryl and Mike, I was so saddened when Rita called me with news of Ellis' death. He was a very kind and sweet man and I know that he will be missed greatly. We do have God's promise that we'll see him again one day and I pray that gives your heart some comfort! I'm sorry that I cannot be there for the services, but please know that all of you are in our prayers during this most difficult time. Sending love and sympathy your way. Your Friend, Carolyn
