Annie Kanode Linkous

Annie Kanode Linkous, 91, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away Friday, June 18, 2009. She was born on March 24, 1918, in Montgomery County to the late Roman and Ethel Kanode. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Linkous; children, Milton Linkous, Roger Linkous, Arlene Reed, Faye Plyes, Tresa Reed, and Connie Linkous; brother, June Kanode Jr.; and sister, Hazel Cromer. She is survived by her children, Edwin "Buck" Linkous, Wayne Linkous and wife, Joyce, Betty Linkous and husband, Kenny, Carolyn Snead and husband, Sam, Bonnie Lawson, and Lori Nida; sons-in-law, Junior Reed, Roy L. Redd, and Ray Plyes; daughter-in-law, Bea Linkous; sisters, Joyce Medley, Lois Wright, and Charslie Smith; sister-in-law, Polly Kanode; several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and greatgreatgrandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home with the Rev. David Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens.
