Tammy Blankenship Obituary

Tammy Lee Obenshain Blankenship, 48, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Monday, June 22, 2009. Born in Norfolk, Va., November 27, 1960, she was a daughter of Judith Carol Johnson and Harold Richard Obenshain. She was raised by her grandparents, William McKinley Johnson and Eloise Camper Johnson, both of whom preceded her in death. Also surviving is her son, Gatlin Blankenship; sister, Tina Byrd Smith; brothers, Loyd K. Obenshain and Steven T. Obenshain; and several nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009, in the Roanoke Chapel of Lotz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Ram House or The Homeless Shelter.
