Lawrence Ray Shelor

Lawrence Ray Shelor, 76, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Monday, June 22, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Velvie Shelor; son, Wayne Shelor and spouse, Vikki Shelor, and their children, Becca, Jacob, and Joshua Shelor; daughter, Malinda Shelor-Rogers and spouse, Ben Rogers, and their children, Kimberly Bright, Amanda Stephens, and Marcus Yancey; stepdaughters, Nancy Machincia and spouse, John, and their children, Jessica Heckman and Brad Machincia; Cathy Wilson and spouse, Gary Wilson, and their children, Vanessa Richardson and Gary Wilson; daughter-in-law, Wanda Blevins, and children, David Blevins and Jody Blevins; brothers, John Shelor and spouse, Thelma, and James Shelor and spouse, Marie; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in the Willis Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Maberry Funeral Home.
