Oneida Mason Obituary

Oneida (Granny) Mason, 94, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 27, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Wade Mullins; her parents, Charles and Della Guthrie; her son, Warren B. Mullins Sr.; and three siblings. She is survived by three grandchildren, Daniel Wade Mullins II, Warren Beverly Mullins Jr., and Debra Stultz; greatgrandson, Joshua Stultz and his fiancée, Savannah Leighton; stepdaughters, Dee Rivers and husband, Jim, Martha Wood and husband, Ed; special niece, Joyce Howell; caregiver and good friend, Linda Foley; five stepgrandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, and the Rev. Jim Rivers will officiate. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 982-2100.

Dee and Jim,
I was so very sorry to hear about Oneida. It was so obvious that you cared dearly for her and I'm sure you would have loved to had her meet little "Mason" Rivers. She is certainly in a better place now and will suffer no more. Our prayers are with you and Jim.
