Dorothy Janney Obituary

Dorothy A. Janney, 84, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Janney. She was a long time member of Poages Mill Church of The Brethren. She is survived by her children and spouses, John and Tempril Janney, of Roanoke, Helen J. and Richard Martin, of Salem, Peggy and Michael Goodwin, of Loveland, Ohio, and Mike and Pamela Janney, of Roanoke, Va.; grandchildren, Brian Janney, Sarah Graham, Keith Anderson, Amber Janney, and Dustin Ratcliffe; greatgrandchildren, Alyssa Janney, Hailey and Reiley Graham, Cole, Mason and Dawson Anderson, and Haleigh Ratcliffe; numerous nieces and nephews; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Louise Aldycka; and sister-inlaw, Marian Aldycka. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Ave. from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Funeral services will follow there in the chapel 4 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rev. Maurice Wright will officiate. Graveside interment will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009, in the Vest Cemetery, Floyd County. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to Poages Mill Church of the Brethren. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
