Maude King Conner

Maude King Conner, 91, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Friday, June 26, 2009. She was a member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She worked for a number of years at Heironimus, in Crossroads Mall. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. Maude was preceded in death by her husband, Arnel E. Conner; two sisters; and five brothers. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, J. Edward "Ed" and Ruthie W. Conner, of Roanoke, and James A. "Jim" and Donna Conner, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Ginny Oyler and husband, Mark, Julie Roberts and husband, Greg, Angela Fisch and husband, Brian, and Jeffrey Conner and wife, Dori; and great-grandchildren, Austin Oyler, Morgan Oyler, Lauren Fisch, Chase Conner and Camp Conner. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. George W. Stewart officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
