He was was a volunteer for the Ft. Lewis Rescue Squad for many years when it was in operation. He was also a member of the Sampson Air Force Base, New York Veteran's Association. Linden loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener and many happy days were spent camping. A favorite time for him was spending time at Myrtle Beach and Florida with friends and family. Linden was a figure caller and a favorite pastime was square dancing. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 5, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, Va. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Salem. Interment will follow at the Eagle Rock Baptist Cemetery in Eagle Rock, Va.
