Helen Schuyler Obituary

Helen Virginia Schuyler, 92, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd A. Schuyler Sr.; and her loving daughter, Catherine Virginia Barlow. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School and worked for the Roanoke Gas Company until she started her family. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church teaching Sunday School to all the children for over 40 years. She is survived by her children, Floyd A. Schuyler Jr. and wife, Phobe, of Roanoke, Emmett W. Schuyler and wife, Connie, of Vinton, and David L. Schuyler and wife, Tana, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Sherri Mays and husband, Todd, Travis Schuyler and wife, Wendy, Kathy Disher and husband, Andrew, Mike Schuyler and wife, Melanie, and Rodney Mussleman and wife, Margrit; and eight greatgrandchildren. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Evergreen Burial Park with Dr. Bill Ashford officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 540-982-2100.

I REMEMBER MRS.SCHUYLER'S.SHE USED TO BABYSIT ME WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL.LOVE PLAYING BINGO WITH HER. WHAT A GREAT LADY.SHE WILL BE MISS.
