Thomas Elkins Obituary

Thomas Mitchell Elkins, 67, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with his Savior on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Mr. Elkins was a faithful member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Hazel Elkins; son, Charles Elkins; brothers, Bobby Elkins and Donald Elkins; and sisters, Linda Ferguson and Mary Wheeler. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Jeffrey Elkins; two grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; brother, James Elkins; sister, Barbara Ferguson (Buddy); and former wife and best friend, Charlotte Anderson. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2009, at Mountain View Cemetery with the Rev. Albin Crutchfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Shenandoah Baptist Church Missions Funds.
