I was so shocked to hear of Rlaphs passing. We always had so much fun together. Prayers are with his mother and family. I will really miss him. he was a great friend and loved a lot.

Ralph was my favorite second-grade pal at Floyd Elementary. That's my memory of when we became friends. Of course, we went through all the grades and graduated together in 1981, but my thoughts turn now to those early days in Mrs. Effie Thomas's class. Once, Ralph and I were passing notes--only he got caught in the act. Without a word, Ralph bravely took the ruler-on-the-back-of-the-hand punishment Mrs. Thomas unleashed. Somehow I escaped the same punishment. Gosh, I remember Ralph's smile. I wish I'd had the chance to tell him much I loved him then--and still now.
