Annie Mildred Blake

Annie Mildred Blake, 78, of Bedford, Va., departed this life 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 5, 1930, in Bedford, a daughter of the late William H. Anderson and Clara Bond Anderson. She leaves to mourn her loss, four sons, Earnest Blake (Christy), Dennis Blake, and Fredrick Blake, all of Bedford, Va., and Donald Blake (Shirley), of Norfolk, Va.; three daughters, Linda Bannister (Theodore), of Bedford, Va., Patricia Watlington (Curtis), of Reidsville, N.C., and Vanessa Blake, of Lynchburg, Va.; 21 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren; one sister, Ruby Blake (Isom); one brother, Charles Anderson (Freddie); a foster sister-in-law, Eunice Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Antioch Baptist Church (Peaksville Community). Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
