Marvin Thomas Obituary

Marvin Lewis Thomas, 87, of Floyd, Va., passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Thomas. He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Musselman, of Roanoke, and Carolyn Hicks, of Salem; and granddaughter, Tara Nicole Hicks. He was the owner of Thomas Auto Parts (Napa) in Floyd. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Floyd Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Thomas and the Rev. Dave Holladay officiating. Interment will follow at the Lee Cemetery, Tuggles Gap. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the East Visitation Room of Maberry Funeral Home. Sorry about the passing of your loved one. What I knew of Marvin he was a kind, caring, and honest man. It's sad, but today for so many, honestly is just a word in the dictionary.

Marvin is so much better off than anyone here on earth as we all will have to deal with many unfortunate and challenging times. Please rest assured that Marvin is okay.
