Herbert Bruce Durham Sr.

Mr. Herbert Bruce Durham Sr., 81, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, July 10, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Lucille Durham, and five siblings. Survivors include his children, Celia, Renae,and Herbert (Cheryl) Durham Jr. and devoted daughter and son, Ronda and Harold Durham; mother of his children, Mrs. Dorothy D. Edmonds; grandchildren, Tonya Samuel (Sarah) and Christopher Durham and Alicia (Jason) Coles; great-grandchildren, Samya Durham, Marissa Coles, Ashonta Browne and Laiya Durham; four brothers, devoted brother, Phillip (Shirley) Durham, Irving Durham Sr., Edward (Gracie) Durham, Ivory "Buddy" (Beverly) Durham; two sisters, Maybell Holland, Constance "Bunky" Grandy; sister-in-law, Connie Durham; other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Salem Health and Rehabilitation Centers, nurses, Misty and Maria, and the staff of unit 3. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 16, 2009, 11 a.m., at Serenity Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Steele Sr. officiating.
