Robert Carder Obituary

Robert Shoun Carder, 58, of Roanoke, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2009. He was born on August 18, 1950 in Roanoke, Va., and was the son of the late Frank Carpenter Carder, Sr. and Edith Scott Carder. Robert served our country in the United States Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Landon Carder. He is survived by his sons, Scott Carder and Christopher Carder and wife Kathleen; three grandchildren, Katie (8), Jacob (6), and Mia (3); brother, Frank Carder, Jr. and wife Linda; and nephew, Greg Carder. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 2 to 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. To send condolences online, please register at www.johnmoakey.com
