Marie Altizer Obituary

Marie Elizabeth Altizer, 47, of Roanoke, Va., died on Monday, July 13, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin E. and Lorraine E. Altizer. Surviving is her brother, John Mark Altizer and wife, Delia; her aunt, Thelma Body; one niece, Meagan Altizer; three nephews, Jarhett Altizer, Gabriel Gomez and Michael Gomez; and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Mike English, the Rev. Ben Jeffcoat and Dr. Phil Ayers officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
