Ellwood Leroy Billett Jr.

Ellwood Leroy Billett Jr., 62, of Thaxton, Va., died Friday, July 10, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 21, 1947, in Lewistown, Pa., a son of the late Ellwood Leroy Billett Sr. and Dorothy Violet Colyer Billett. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He was previously an assistant golf pro at Roanoke Country Club and assistant golf pro at Blue Hills in Williams Port, Pa. Ellwood is survived by his children, John Billett and his fiancée, Teresa; two daughters, Sherry Settle and Robin Koontz; four grandchildren, Jackqeline Billett, Renne Ann Billett, Michael Settle, and Haylea Burrows Billett; a sister, Darla Koontz; two brothers, Jim Billett and Rick Billett; a niece, Mellisa Koontz; and two nephews, Nathan Billett and Zachary Billett.
