Odell Fizer Holland

Odell Fizer Holland, 84, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2009. He was born on December 2, 1924. Mr. Holland was retired from the Exxon Company with over 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Blount Holland. He is survived by his sons, Charles E. Holland and Jodi Fitzgerald, of Troutville, and Barry L. Holland and wife, Cindy, of Buchanan; daughter, Lisa Holland, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Kelly and Travis Holland, of Buchanan; sisters, Myrtle Taylor, of Greenville, S.C., Madeline Barnhart, of Roanoke, and Lavon Webb, of Roanoke; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2009, at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Elmo McLaurin officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
