With heartfelt sympathy. I too lost a 14 year old son almost 20 years ago, during open heart surgery. I know the pain and heartache, and the terrible void. Even though we had the assurance he was with Jesus it's still hard. We greived but not as those who have no hope. Last year I had a 14 year old who was crossing the street and was hit by a car. It broke both her ankles and knee. I've walked in your shoes and I hurt with you!

Words just can't comfort at a time like this when something so tragic happens to our loved ones! Only our faith and love for God will give us some peace. Devan was such a sweet and caring young man with Great Faith! My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you today, tomorrow and the weeks and months ahead. My heart just breaks for you all!
