Ronnie Shelton Obituary

Ronnie Ray Shelton, 60, of Riner, Va., died on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at his home. He was born in Bland County, Va., on November 11, 1948, to the late George and Mary Nunn Shelton and was also preceded in death by a brother, Rex Douglas Shelton. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lee Shelton; three sons, Randy Wayne Shelton, of Petersburg, Va., Steven Ray Shelton, of Richmond, Va., and Christopher Burman Shelton, of Christiansburg; two sisters, Joyce Wyatt, of Dublin, and Tammy Abbott, of North Carolina; brother, Gary Shelton, of Radford; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2009, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Melvin Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Shilo Cemetery in Bland, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday evening, August 1, 2009, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, S.W., Blacksburg, Va.

Ronnie we love you, you will always be in our hearts, Billy loved to play video games with you and watch movies. I always could count on you for help. I will see you again. Dana misses you with all her heart. Samuel will miss fighting with you. You touched our lives.

Papow...wow where do i start...i will never forget how you use to play the teddy bear cd an i would sing and dance to Achy Breaky Heart. All the times we went over the brige an you told momaw to stop so you could throw me out:). i wish i had more time. We had some good time but very few bad. you told me on the phone a month before you passed that no matter how old i am i will always be your little girl..well you are right...i will always be your little girl. i love you so much. ?love your grand daughter Elizabeth Lee Shelton
