Charles Proctor Obituary

Charles William Proctor, 54, of 5183 Yellow Mountain Road, Roanoke, Va., died on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1955, in Missouri, the son of the late Lester Isaac Proctor and the late Loretta Lucille Dawson Proctor. He was married to the late Carolyn Marie Smith Proctor. Mr. Proctor is survived by three sisters, Willa Proctor, Brenda Proctor, and Alberta Proctor; and a special nephew, Chris Van Allen and his wife, Devin. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two sisters, Tracey Proctor and Yvonne Carter. A graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association. Scott Funeral Home in Chatham, Va., is respectfully serving the Proctor family.
